Unitherm® Steel SB ExteriorSolvent-based fire protection coating for steel
A fast-drying, thin-layer fire protection coating system for steel components inside* and outside buildings. When exposed to heat, it forms a heat-insulating layer and thus increases the fire resistance of steel components such as columns, beams and frameworks.

Recommended application area
Unitherm® Steel SB Exterior was developed for application using the airless spraying method and to protect steel components with fire resistance periods of up to 90 minutes.
* Use for steel components in the interior of buildings, such as columns, beams and framework, as long as no proof of use for living spaces is required by the national building regulations (e.g. AgBB).
Note: In the case of critical loads, e.g. frequent condensation or heating of
surfaces > + 45°C, special measures may need to be taken. In permanently dry rooms, the top coat can be
omitted unless a decorative finish is desired.
